I’m grateful 2/52

2012-12-04 19.31.04Today I’m beyond grateful for the bedroom aircon in which my baby and toddler are now (finally) napping; and grateful, not to mention incredibly relieved, that our landlord agreed to install ceiling fans and a front door screen just a few weeks ago, in time for this hideously hot spell. BOM forecast a high of 36 degrees today but having just been out to hang washing (burned my fingers on the metal bits of the clothes pegs!) I reckon it’s higher than that. It’s HOT, especially for a Scottish lass!

So I’ll be grateful when the sun sets. Pictured is a local beach. I’m grateful that I live in such a very beautiful part of the world.

You have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy

I’ve shared that one before but I love it so much I’m sharing it again! When I get down to the brass tacks of my life, it’s so very true.

  1. Oh Pam, I’m absolutely grateful with you today, don’t know what we’d do without A/C! I think the humidity is the worst. Try to stay cool 🙂

  2. That is a gorgeous photo Pam. I am so so grateful for our air-con too! Hate when it’s so hot I can feel my feet getting sunburned as I hang the washing out!

    1. Thanks, not hard to take nice pics with scenery like ours, so lucky! Yup it’s not nice when you can get burned hanging out your washing! Still hot now this eve as well sheesh! Planning to go to the beach for a swim early tomorrow morning before it gets too hot – that’s if I can get us all out of the house before noon lol we’ll see 🙂

  3. I heard that the temperatures reached all-time highs today — NPR reported that the temperatures reached 120F. Phew! As for me, I’m chilled to the very core here in the northern half — it’s in the very low thirties. Stay cool! And I’ll stay warm. Love! Smiles!

    1. Wow I just converted low 30sF into celsuis, heading for minus temps youch that’s a bit chilly, I’m melting over here still and it’s just gone 9pm. Wrap up warm! x

      1. No, we’re just living in the 30sF here, not Celsius. Not quite cold enough to keep the snow happy.

  4. Hi there, what a lovely blog. I look forward to reading more from you! Warm regards Caroline

    1. Hi Caroline, just found your comment in my Spam folder! Thanks for visiting The Mindful Mum. I loved your Buddha Quotes by the way 🙂
